When I was about thirty years of age, the doctors said I was suffering from caries of the tibia. I underwent three operations, and after the second and third the doctors were very much disappointed at not finding any new granulations. For about five years I used crutches; and although for several years after the last operation I could walk, the leg did not heal, and in 1912 it drew up so that I was unable to walk properly.

One day I told a friend that I had a diseased bone in one leg, and he lent me the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. While I was practicing what I found in that book, my leg, having discharged from the marrow for about twenty years, was healed. This was in the spring of 1915. I was also suffering from a very irritating form of eczema, which had troubled me for many years. This also has been healed.

Some time ago a gentleman from whom I rented a garage told me of the sad condition of his wife. He said she had a diseased ankle and had been on crutches for two years, despite the help of five or six doctors. I told him that she could be cured, gave her some Christian Science literature, and later took her to a service at a branch church. With the help of a practitioner she obtained her healing, and is today a member of another branch church in this city.
