Morning

ISLA PASCHAL RICHARDSON

"This is the day which the Lord hath made."
Help me to live each hour
Lovingly, humbly, unafraid,
Knowing that good is power.

In the sunlight that shines today, no place
Can yesterday's shadows find;
Errors of thinking, Truth will erase
When we know there is but one Mind.

All the tomorrows are in God's care;
Today as His child I rise,
Strong in the knowledge that everywhere
His glory about me lies.

Today I shall live as a child of God,
Unshackled, unfettered, free,
Walking the path that Jesus trod,
In strength and humility.

May it be fruitful with loving deeds,
With thoughts and words of good,
Wisely supplying another's needs,
Proving man's brotherhood.
