Choosing a Practitioner

After the vision of Jesus the Christ came to Saul of Tarsus, he said, "Lord, what wilt thou have me to do? And the Lord said unto him, Arise, and go into the city, and it shall be told thee what thou must do." Stricken with blindness, Saul was led to the home of a certain Damascan, where he continued in prayer. At the same time, a spiritually-minded man, Ananias by name, was led of God to go to Saul, that his prayer might be answered. Ananias went obediently, bringing to Saul not only complete physical healing, but also great spiritual enlightenment.

How simple this healing under God's direction! The one in need reached out in prayer, and one came to him who was close enough to God to do God's bidding and accomplish the healing. This is a clear illustration of receptivity on the patient's part, and of the need met through divine guidance.

Is not this analogous to the case of one seeking a Christian Science practitioner for enlightening help? Human outlining should not govern the one in need as to who should be the one to help him. The choice should not be made from the point of view of human personality. Rather should there be a reaching out for spirituality, for those qualities of God expressed in man, that bring healing.
