Lecturer: Miss Margaret Murney Glenn; introduced by Hermann Müller, who said:—

Only today I learned that when our lecturer first addressed us from this platform seven years ago, a man who had been ill for a considerable time, but who was nevertheless unafraid to take a long journey to come here, went home from the lecture healed. And yet the mission of a Christian Science lecture is not at all limited to healing the sick; such "signs following" are merely natural evidences of the operation of Christian Science. A lecture may be likened to a message from heaven, the kingdom of harmony, the kingdom of God, of whom a hymn tells us:
