In the winter of 1931 I experienced for the first time a healing in Christian Science. I was suffering from inflammation of the middle ear, and for nine weeks I went to a doctor twice every week. Before Christmas I had to go to a specialist in St. Gall. Both doctors said that I should have an operation, as a lump was forming behind the ear, and that the bone was affected.

A relative of mine told me I ought to turn to Christian Science, for there I would surely find healing. I decided to do it immediately and went to a practitioner. After the first treatment I felt great relief. Although I yielded to doubts now and then, I was completely healed of my suffering in two weeks. I cannot express in words how grateful I am for the great love reflected by the practitioner and the power of Truth which she showed me.
