I am so grateful for all the blessings we have received in Christian Science. We have had many wonderful demonstrations, and I am thankful to the practitioner who has worked so faithfully in Science for us. Our two little daughters were both born under Science treatment, and I am very grateful for the help received at the time of their birth. The younger daughter was quite lifeless when born, and her little body did not function for five days; but Christian Science treatment was continued by the practitioner, and on the sixth day the body became normal. I am thankful for this beautiful demonstration.
One day while we were driving down a busy boulevard, the elder daughter noticed that the rear door of our sedan was not closed tightly. She opened the door, intending to slam it closed, but the weight of the heavy door pulled her out and before I realized it, or could stop the car, she had hit the pavement and rolled over and over. As there was fastmoving traffic behind us, a terrible fear gripped me. I stopped the car and found that a crowd had gathered. The little girl was unconscious when she was picked up and badly lacerated about the face and arms. A gentleman who had seen the accident insisted on taking the child to the receiving hospital, but I was just as insistent that I take her to a practitioner. She was placed on the seat beside me, and I declared the truth to her all the way to the practitioner's. The practitioner thought it best that I leave the child with her and return home. She worked with her the remainder of the afternoon. Never shall I forget the gratitude that filled my heart when I looked out of the window a few hours later and saw our little daughter skipping across the driveway and up the steps of our home. For this wonderful demonstration I can never be too grateful.
I am also very grateful for the supply that has come to us, and I am most grateful for membership in The Mother Church, and to Mary Baker Eddy for Christian Science.
