Your issue of May 5 carries an announcement in which a minister refers to Christian Science as a cult. Space is respectfully asked for correction.

According to Webster, the word "cult" means "a system of worship of a deity ... according to specific rites; as, the cult of Apollo."

According to the same authority, the word "religion" means "conformity in faith and life to the precepts inculcated in the Bible, respecting conduct of life and duty toward God and man; the Christian faith and practice."
