Extracts from Reports of Christian Science Committees on Publication

New Jersey.

A man was so impressed by the message of Christ, Truth, which he heard in a Christian Science radiocast, that he asked how he could learn more of the teachings of Christian Science. The necessary information was given him.

A badly sprained ankle, due to falling off a bicycle, was completely healed as a result of one's listening to a Christian Science program.

A lady, bedridden for several years, having become interested in Christian Science by reading the literature, upon being informed of our Devotional Programs listened in regularly and received her healing. She now enjoys good health and attributes her healing to our Christian Science programs.

A husband and wife write: "Accept our gratitude ... all our family listen to the broadcasts and join in singing the hymns. We desire to learn more of this wonderful truth."

One who knew nothing of Christian Science, who had been bedridden for many years, and for whom the doctors could do nothing, was so impressed by listening to a Christian Science program that she asked for a copy of Science and Health, of which she had heard over the radio. She read the book, obtained help in Christian Science, and was subsequently healed.

Minnesota.

Prior to this year it had been a long time since a Christian Science lecture was printed in full in any large daily newspaper of either Minneapolis or St. Paul. Recently, working with representatives of First Church of Christ, Scientist, in St. Paul, we arranged for the publication in the Pioneer-Press and the mailing edition of the St. Paul Dispatch of a full report of the lecture. Nearly six thousand copies were subscribed and paid for in advance. Two thousand copies were sold by the newsboys on the sidewalks at the auditorium at the close of the lecture, and a few orders were received thereafter, making a total number of copies sold, partly of the Dispatch and partly of the Pioneer-Press, of eight thousand and fifty. It is probably that newsboys could have sold another thousand copies if the same had been available. A copy of one or the other of these newspapers was mailed by this Committee to every member of the last Minnesota legislature.

An address was delivered by this Committee on May 1 at Shevlin Hall before a small group of young women, part of the Religious Group of the Y. W. C. A. at the University of Minnesota.

The Edinburgh Evening News has taken several items of news and other interest from The Christian Science Monitor, and has fully acknowledged the source. On at least five occasions these items formed the basis of editorials, sometimes the first long leading article. The subjects chosen were usually from the magazine section and of world interest. It is a pleasure to receive a note from this editor asking that the (Wednesday) Monitor be reserved while he is on a holiday, and sent to him on his return. Other newspapers frequently quote small Monitor items.

A Wednesday Monitor goes regularly to the editorial office of The Scotsman also, while a Monitor goes to the Leith Observer weekly. All other newspapers in the county receive copies at intervals.
