"This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it." I can truly say that since I came into Christian Science, each day brings an increasing amount of uplifting thoughts and causes for rejoicing.
I became interested in Christian Science over six years ago. At that time I was in need of help, physically and mentally. Nervousness, a painful heart condition, colds, and many so-called minor ailments, as well as homesickness and sorrow, have fallen away as, through the aid of Christian Science, I have given up much wrong thinking.
The healing for which I want to express particular gratitude took place about four years ago. I had experienced pain in my abdomen for some time. One night I awoke with very severe pains. A practitioner was called and help was lovingly given. The pain subsided and the normal action of the bowels and other organs, which had been interrupted for some time, was restored. However, after some time, an enlargement formed on the right side. Although I was free from fear and confident that God would heal me, the demonstration was seemingly slow, due to fear and worry on the part of those around me. But soon this mesmerism was also destroyed. The discord disappeared through much discharge, leaving only a scar, which has now almost entirely disappeared.
