[Original testimony in French]
For all the blessings which I am receiving every day,...
For all the blessings which I am receiving every day, and for the good which is ever more manifest about me since I have been studying Christian Science earnestly, I wish to express my great gratitude through this testimony.
Ten years ago the Christian Science textbook, Science and Health by Mary Baker Eddy, came into our home through a dear friend; but for many years I did not understand the value of its precious teaching until a kind and consecrated practitioner aided me with untiring love. Since then, Christian Science has helped me to solve all my problems, and it is with a heart full of deep gratitude that I bear witness to the truth.
Among the numerous proofs of the healing and redeeming power of Christian Science I shall mention a case occurring in 1934, which planted me more firmly on the path of Truth. One day while I was in Paris, staying at my sister's home, she called me, and as I started to put down my work for a moment, the awkward move of someone near me threw me off my balance and I fell heavily. In the fall a crochet hook, which I had in my hand, was thrust in between my thumb and forefinger and held fast in the flesh. Not being able to pull it out, I called on a Christian Science practitioner for help. After the work had continued for some time, two marvelous passages from our textbook illuminated my thought and brought me physical deliverance. They were these (pp. 224, 225): "No power can withstand divine Love," and, "Love is the liberator." The crochet hook stayed in my hand for over ten hours, but the demonstration was complete and no scar was left. Since this experience I have often had occasion to appreciate how Love does free us, not only physically but mentally, from all erroneous beliefs.
