I feel a deep sense of gratitude for the opportunity of telling through the Sentinel of the beautiful healings I have experienced since taking up the study of Christian Science.

My first healing, of extreme nervousness, will always stand out as a beacon light to me. It brought home the much-needed lessons of obedience and honesty, for which I am very grateful. Some copies of the Christian Science Sentinel had been given to me by a friend, and I had promised to read them sometime. One evening, being alone in a strange city, I was overcome by nervousness, and I thought, Why not read the Sentinels as I promised to do? for I felt that there would be no sleep for me all night anyway. I got them out and read for several hours, and then I noticed that I was calm and peaceful; so I retired and slept quietly all night. I was surprised the next morning to find that I had slept so well, and I thought if Christian Science could do that for me I was going to find out more about it. I went to the Christian Science Reading Room that same day, and I shall never forget the peace and calm which I experienced there. It seemed as though the room was just filled with divine Love. From that time, twelve years ago, Christian Science has met my every need.

I have experienced healings of heart trouble, liver trouble, kidney trouble, intestinal influenza, congested lungs, and toothache, all by applying the wonderful truth as taught in the Bible and in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. By knowing that God is divine intelligence, and that man is His reflection, I have been able to do well whatever it has been my duty to do. It is only when I have depended upon my own unaided efforts that I have experienced failure.
