Reliance

GLADYS GARDEN

Because I know Thy guiding hand
Is holding mine along the way,
I ask no question, voice no fear,
Content to listen, day by day.

Because I hear, in accents calm,
Thy gentle words, Dear child, be still,
I cease my restless wandering,
And only ask to do Thy will.

Because I feel Thy presence near,
In times of sorrow, doubt, or pain,
I thank Thee, Father, for Thy care,
And in Thy strength am strong again.
