Child's Morning Song
Father,
I thank Thee for the night,
I bless Thee for today;
I rise and know the morn is bright—
Thou art with me alway.
No harm, no hurt, shall me befall,
No error taint my thought,
For Thou art Love, and Love is All,
All else beside is naught.
Thy will shall be my work and play,
Thy voice my only call;
No angry word shall mar the day,
No fears at night appall.
I claim the right to call Thee mine,
I own Love's perfect sway;
Resting alone on Love divine,
I strive and watch and pray.
