Meeting in Connection with the Work of Librarians, June 9, 1936

Address By Mrs. Alice L. Haslett, Librarian of The Mother Church Reading Room Located in the Statler Building

Every Librarian praises God daily and hourly for the sacred opportunity of serving our beloved Cause in a Christian Science Reading Room. They all know that gratitude and love for the work are important factors in its success.

A Christian Science Reading Room may well be likened to a reception room through which the stranger and visitor enter into the "Father's house"—the consciousness of blessing and healing. Whether he knows it or not, everyone attending a Reading Room for the first time, or the hundredth time, has come to learn more about God, has come to commune with Him and to receive the healing and regenerating touch of the Christ, Truth.
