Circulation Meeting on Behalf of the Periodicals, June 9, 1936

Address by Richard J. Davis, Member of The Christian Science Board of Lectureship

My Friends and Fellow Workers:

As I stand here today before this great body of earnest Christian Scientists, my thought goes back to another Annual Meeting when as a boy with my father and mother, we gathered in Mechanics Hall not far away, and voted unanimously to build the great and beautiful edifice where you are now seated. That was a day of inspiration one can never forget and never should forget. There was a spiritual animus, a divine conviction that moved those people and swept them forward to united demonstration, and back of them stood our beloved Leader, firm and unwavering in her fidelity to God and in her realization that divine Mind was fulfilling its own great purpose.
