It is now practically twenty-three years since I first became interested in the study and practice of Christian Science. In the intervening years my blessings have been innumerable, and I am sincerely grateful for every one.

From early childhood, through young womanhood, I had suffered severely from frequent attacks of headache. It had not occurred to me that headache was a form of sickness that could be completely healed. I thought it must be endured as best one could, and I depended upon various material remedies for temporary relief.

In the fall of 1913 it was my good fortune to become acquainted with some very interesting people, whom I grew to admire greatly. Soon, I learned that these new-found friends were earnest students of Christian Science, and eventually through their loving counsel and help I was led to ask for treatment. A Christian Science practitioner, whom I had never seen and did not know, was called. Absent treatment was given, and surely it must have been given lovingly and effectively, because I was quickly healed—in fact so quickly healed that I was able to attend a rather large social function that same evening.
