Six years ago I was a continual sufferer from pain and sickness. A doctor said I had gastritis. Later I became interested in Christian Science. Shortly after I began this study, an internal growth developed in my side. Treatment from a Christian Science practitioner relieved me of pain, but not of sickness nor of the internal complaint. However, I help persistently to the truth, and I became a member of a branch church.

In April, 1935, I attended a Christian Science lecture in this town. I looked forward to the lecture because I was to assist the literature distribution committee for the first time. Just before the lecture began there was such a sense of peace in the crowded building that I felt there would be receptivity to the lecturer's message and, therefore, healing.

I was filled with joy to hear the lecturer explain clearly how the promises of the Bible are available today, giving us full salvation. Once during the lecture I felt a sharp pain pass through my body, but I dismissed it with the thought that there is no pain in Truth. The next day I noticed that some of my garments fitted more easily than usnal, and a day later I noticed that the painful growth had disappeared. Then I realized that I had been healed at the lecture.
