My heart goes out to God for all His mercies; to Christ Jesus, our great Way-shower; and to our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, who gave Christian Science to the world. I feel compelled to write and tell of the great help I have received from Christian Science, both physically and mentally, also for the help it has been to my wife and our children.

When I turned to this Science some years ago I was quickly healed of the smoking habit of many years' standing. I have also been healed of severe constipation. Some time ago I was bitten by a spider or poisonous insect of some kind, and my wrist and arm quickly became very much inflamed and swollen. A lump, similar to a very large boil, appeared on one wrist and was most painful, but through the help of a Christian Science practitioner the place opened naturally and the poison was discharged. This took several days, but the healing was perfect and not a mark remains. For this healing I am most grateful.

I want to express my appreciation of all our literature, especially The Christian Science Monitor, which I consider a first-class paper; we read it and enjoy it daily, and never feel that the news is stale.
