Extracts from Reports of Christian Science Committees on Publication

Texas.

The Christian Scientists of the state can be most grateful for the friendly attitude of the press, there having been need of but one correction in the secular press during the entire year. In this instance the correction offered by the Committee was printed by the editor. The editors of one of the high school papers in the state very kindly corrected a misstatement which had been made in their school paper concerning the name of our textbook. Two denominational periodicals carried several attacks upon Christian Science; a correction was accepted by one of the editors, but never published; the other editor accepted a correction and made its publication the basis for a second attack.

In seven instances Assistant Committees called with gratifying results upon ministers who has made some incorrect or unkind reference to Christian Science in their sermons or public addresses.
