With a joyful heart I wish to relate some of the experiences I have had in Christian Science during the last twenty years.

After a period of three years in which I had not been able to sleep well, my nerves were totally ruined. Every day I felt extremely melancholy, so that physically and mentally I was a wreck. The doctors, whose treatment I was under for the first three months, could not diagnose my case. Then I was sent to a hospital for observation, but after four weeks I was discharged by the resident physician as incurable, with the remark that my whole nervous system was ruined. So I faced a dreary future. Later on I consulted a specialist, who diagnosed my trouble as a case of badly shattered nerves. However, he too was unable to help me, and gave me clearly to understand that I might expect the worst regarding my mental condition. And so my prospects looked even more cheerless than before.

After I had been suffering for about a year, and did not expect to find help anywhere, on the advice of a friend I turned to Christian Science and asked a practitioner for help. After the first present treatment I went home filled with inspiration and a deep peace, and in one week I was completely and permanently healed of this trouble.
