Ever-Present Love

I WALK with Love,
And so the way, though rough, is clear and bright,
For Love doth bathe it in celestial light.

I talk with Love,
And so the way, though long, seems wondrous short,
For Love doth whisper things of deep import.

I lean on Love,
And so I walk and never tire or faint,
Mount as the eagle—free from earth's restraint.

I dwell in Love,
So sickness, sin, and death have no alarms;
Beneath I feel the everlasting arms.

I rest in Love, and lie in pastures green,
I gaze on Love, and naught can come between.
