Christian Science came into my home when I was a small...
Christian Science came into my home when I was a small child, and ever since then has been of inestimable help. Experiences of good, which we have made our own, leave an indelible impression for, as stated by our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 368), "The confidence inspired by Science lies in the fact that Truth is real and error is unreal." Some years ago, while employed in a commercial capacity, I was seized with jaundice. After an interview with a Christian Science practitioner that afternoon, treatment was taken up and continued for some eight days, by which time all evidence of the malady had completely disappeared.
At a later period, when I was employed during a rush season in an automobile factory, I was suddenly stricken with paralysis of the feet. Again I called for help from a Christian Science practitioner and was healed in three treatments. I could recount many blessings and healings, which I owe to the truth taught us by Mrs. Eddy in her writings, one healing being of three successive attacks of inflammatory rheumatism.
The Church which Mrs. Eddy established, with its numerous branches, affords a great opportunity for spiritual growth. I wish also to express my heartfelt gratitude for every branch church elective and appointive office which I have had the occasion to fill; for the help and protection afforded me through membership in The Mother Church and a Christian Science Students' Association. Perhaps greater than all else in my experience is my present thankfulness in being afforded the privilege of serving our Cause as an associate of the Christian Science Benevolent Association on Pacific Coast. "Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise."—George A. Robb, San Francisco, California.
