"The Christ road"

CHRISTIAN SCIENTISTS are increasingly grateful for the revised and enlarged edition of the Christian Science Hymnal, as they recognize the progress along many right lines which has been made because of its production.

Perhaps the first thing noted was the greatly enlarged number of hymns and tunes, promoting a larger expression of the brotherhood of men of all nations through joyful song. Another, the fact that the revision of the words of old hymns often resulted in a revision of the thought, so bringing it nearer to the teachings of Jesus, and to the teachings of Christian Science.

The import of the new wording may not be fully realized until a need presents itself. Soon after the new Hymnals appeared, the writer was endeavoring to overcome a sense of physical inharmony by a clear realization of the truth as taught in Christian Science. Presently she found herself repeating the words of a familiar hymn slowly and thoughtfully until the expression was reached,
