Gratitude for all that Christian Science has done for me ...

Gratitude for all that Christian Science has done for me impels me to give my testimony in the hope that someone who reads it may be helped. Many years have passed since I took up the study of Christian Science through my brother's healing.

For many years, in fact nearly all my life, I had been an invalid. For ten years or more I was under the care of doctors, who did all they could to relieve and help me, but to no avail. I suffered from a chronic heart trouble which the doctors said could not be healed. For two years I was confined to a wheel chair and had to be carried up and down stairs. I also suffered from indigestion, spinal trouble, falling of the womb, and sever neuralgic pain in my head. Diet and change of climate did not help, and I seemed to be growing worse all the time. Through the study and application of Christian Science and the help of practitioners I was healed of all these conditions, and I know that Christian Science is the truth and the only relief from all our troubles.

I am grateful for Mrs. Eddy's wonderful love and bravery in helping humanity, for the one who so kindly helped me, and for the many blessings I have received. "The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms." In the Preface to "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. vii) Mrs. Eddy says, "To those leaning on the sustaining infinite, to-day is big with blessings."
