Love's Call

WHOM shall I send, and who will go for us?
This urgent question rings down all the years.
Shall I then stand with inert heart and hands
When love, if loved and lived, will calm men's fears?
Nay, rather will I answer with great joy,
Dear Love, send me to witness now for Thee,
That evil's bonds may break and men awake
To claim their right to perfect liberty.
