In your report of the Christian Science lecture given in Norwich on April 7, you headed the report "Faith Healing." May I ask for space in your columns to point out that Christian Science healing is not "faith healing." On page 297 of the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," Mary Baker Eddy says, "Until belief becomes faith, and faith becomes spiritual understanding, human thought has little relation to the actual or divine." It is, therefore, the spiritual understanding of God as Life, Truth, and Love, and of His eternal, immutable laws, that is the basis of Christian Science healing; and Christian Scientists find that in proportion as they are able to understand God and the law of divine Love, and follow the rules for obtaining this understanding as taught in the Bible and spiritually interpreted in their textbook, they are able to obey the Apostle Paul's injunction in his epistle to the Philippians, "Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus," with the resultant healing effects.

The greatest gift that can come to a man, rich or poor, is to be able to see the good in other people, and to be able to make them see the good in him.—Charles M. Schwab.
