For the multifarious blessings that I am continually...
For the multifarious blessings that I am continually experiencing, for the glorious unfoldment in my consciousness of a perfect God, and consequently a perfect man, I am most humbly and profoundly indebted to the simple and practical teachings of Christian Science, which necessarily include a study of the Bible.
Eleven years ago this Science was recommended to me as a remedy for my then troubled thought. Life seemed dull and purposeless. I was filled with confusion, doubt, and fear. It was after a short visit with an attendant in a Christian Science Reading Room that the clouds began to lift. The truths this dear one uttered penetrated my consciousness until the mist dispersed. I left that haven of love a much happier individual. Years later, when all my previous doubts and fears again presented themselves for acceptance, they vanished instantly after one treatment from a loving and consecrated practitioner. This experience proved to me that, no matter in what form it presents itself, error must disappear when Christian Science is properly applied.
Loss of voice, constipation, hemorrhoids, nosebleed, severe colds, indigestion, a wart, burns, cuts, a sense of dizziness, headache, and many other discordant conditions have been healed through this new-old truth. Some of these problems seemed quite real and terrifying while I was passing through them. While some healings came instantaneously through the realization of the allness of God, others required the aid of practitioners, and, on my part, increased study, patience, perseverance, and warding off of discouragement when the error did not readily yield. The fact that I did not discuss these problems with mortal mind hastened the destruction of the belief in them. Through my constantly knowing that "Spirit, not matter," is "the source of supply,"as Mrs. Eddy states in Science and Health (p. 206), every need is always beautifully met. Christian Science has taught me that God's work is finished, that perfection is already established, that I have only to avail myself of His law, thereby bringing every good and needful thing into my present experience.
