I should like to express gratitude for the many blessings...
I should like to express gratitude for the many blessings I have received through the study and application of Christian Science.
One demonstration of Truth for which I am most grateful was the regaining of my sight. I had worn glasses for ten years, and had been told that I should always have to wear them as I was nearsighted. When sitting in the rear of the Christian Science church which I attended, I could scarcely tell that there was any inscription on the wall. When one who had always known me saw me without glasses, she said that I should be blind, but I did not believe that statement. I am grateful for the loving help from practitioners and for all who helped me in this experience. I am also grateful for the statement in Science and Health by Mary Baker Eddy (p. 486): "Sight, hearing, all the spiritual senses of man, are eternal. They cannot be lost. Their reality and immortality are in Spirit and understanding, not in matter,—hence their permanence."
I am equally grateful for the quick healing of a sprained ankle through the help of a Christian Science practitioner.
