With a heart grateful to overflowing I should like to testify to all the blessings and healings which my family and I have received during ten years.
Six years ago, both of our son's hands were covered with troublesome warts. We saw that things looked very ugly, and that it was especially unpleasant for him in his business, but it did not occur to me to overcome this error through Christian Science. Friends called our son's attention to the warts and recommended a caustic preparation to remove them. And then I woke up and told our son that material means do not help, and I began to declare the truth, but the error did not disappear. As the healing in Science was taking longer than our son thought it should, new preparations were continually applied. The warts did not disappear, and new ones kept coming. Whenever new preparations came into the house I laid aside my work and declared to our son that he could not serve two masters, for he would not know whether Spirit or matter had won the battle. He put aside the preparations, and I explained to him that God did not create warts, and that therefore they are not real. Our attention was so diverted from appearances that although we were together every day, we were conscious no longer of the trouble, and after a few days the warts had disappeared. The hands have remained clear ever since.
This is but one of many experiences which we have had, and the years have shown us that the teaching of Christian Science is applicable not only at all times, but in every situation. It is a demonstrable religion of Love which, when rightly applied, proves that God "forgiveth all thine iniquities; . . . healeth all thy diseases." In deep gratitude we think of our revered Leader, who has blessed all mankind through her work; we are also deeply grateful to the kind practitioner for her steadfast help. Most of all we remember:
