Perhaps you would allow me a little space in order to express the appreciation which the Christian Scientists feel of the intelligent, intelligible, and withal friendly description by "Wayfarer" of his visit to a Christian Science Sunday service at First Church of Christ, Scientist, Southport.

There is just one short paragraph in the article which needs correction, and I am sure your contributor will not mind the little adjustment I am called upon to make.

When Christian Scientists recite the Lord's Prayer, the pauses are not made for the purpose, as the writer of the article assumes, of "supplementing the prayer with points from the doctrine," but to lift thought to the apprehension of the spiritual demands of this consecrating prayer. On page 16 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" Mrs. Eddy writes: "Only as we rise above all material sensuousness and sin, can we reach the heaven-born aspiration and spiritual consciousness, which is indicated in the Lord's Prayer and which instantaneously heals the sick."
