Morning

"I shall be satisfied, when I awake,
With thy likeness." Thus did David sing.
His paean spans the years, for now we make
Its melody with clearer meaning ring.
When from our waking thought fear takes its flight,
Because our ills are seen as troubled dreams,
And Truth draws back the curtain, so the light
Dawns on our consciousness like morning beams,
Then do we sally forth, light-hearted, free,
To seek expectantly the shining way,
And there to find illumed identity,
With kind and steadfast guidance in Love's ray.
How sweet to know God's government and care!
For each and all His love is everywhere.
