I am profoundly grateful for Christian Science, because through the study and application of its teachings, given in our textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, joy and peace have taken the place of fear and discontent in our home.

In 1919 a relative, who had experienced a beautiful healing through Christian Science, was a guest in our home. While I recognized the change in her, I was not interested enough to inquire how this Science could so benefit one. Once, during her visit, I was asked to accompany her to a Wednesday evening testimony meeting, which I did from a sense of duty. I was healed at that service of all thought of criticism of Christian Science.

In less than a year, when suffering from the grippe, I asked for help from a practitioner. My recovery was slow, that is, compared with healings experienced since, but I learned something of right thinking. Since that time, over fourteen years ago, not a member of our family has used medicine in any form.
