Lecturer: James G. Rowell; introduced by E. Lamar Gaines, who said:—

I first became interested in Christian Science some twenty-five years ago through witnessing the healing of a young man who had long been confined to his bed or wheel chair by hip disease, and afterwards the wonderful healing of a member of my own family whom the physicians had been unable to relieve.

Although I was grateful for these healings, there yet remained with me a question as to whether they were of the same order as those wrought by Christ Jesus; and not until, through study and practice of some of the teachings of Christian Science, I had gained a better knowledge of God, was this question satisfactorily answered. Since then, Christian Science has been our only physician, and when properly applied to our problems has never failed us.
