For many years I have been helped and encouraged by testimonies given by others. I am most grateful for the overcoming of fear that enabled me, some twenty years ago, to realize that it is the Christian Scientist's joyous privilege to testify to the healing power of God.

I had heard of Christian Science several years before being willing to accept its teachings. Being a daughter of a minister, whose five brothers were ministers of four different denominations, I had heard much about God and about their creeds, but could not see that their beliefs brought them health or joy.

Through the influence of a friend I began to read Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, and began to realize that God is Love; and I found myself being gradually lifted out of the fears that seemed to keep me a hopeless invalid. My three young daughters entered a Christian Science Sunday School and willingly accepted the teachings received there. For twenty-five years they have found it a religion that helps and heals; and their children have never tasted medicine, but have been taught to rely on the healing power of God.
