"Many, O Lord my God, are thy wonderful works which thou hast done, and thy thoughts which are to us-ward: they cannot be reckoned up in order unto thee: if I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered." I am very grateful for Christian Science, and as I recall healings that I have had, I find that they are indeed more than can be numbered.
God has been our only physician for over ten years. Christian Science came to me when I was very weary of traveling in search of health. From earliest childhood I was pronounced by doctors to be a delicate and nervous child. As I grew to womanhood I became despondent because of ill health. I had a terrible fear of being left alone or going out alone, because of spells of unconsciousness due to high blood pressure. The least excitement, heat or being with any number of people seemed to cause this condition. I felt I was a burden to my loved ones.
While staying with a relative, I witnessed a healing through Christian Science treatment. I then decided that I would see what it could do for me, and I called on a Christian Science practitioner for help. I am so grateful for the patience and love that she reflected, while helping me to overcome my many fears. Money could not buy the joy and peace that I experienced as I gained an understanding of God and my relationship to Him, through the study of the Bible and the Christian Science textbook during several months' treatment. It became necessary for me to make a journey of three thousand miles alone. Mrs. Eddy says, on page 167 of Science and Health, "Only through radical reliance on Truth can scientific healing power be realized." I took my stand with God, trusting His omnipotence. The trip proved my freedom as His child. This healing took place over ten years ago and has been permanent.
