For seventeen years I have relied solely on Christian Science for health and healing, and I feel it is time to tell others of the blessings I have received through the study of the Bible and the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy.

When I first heard of Christian Science I was a nervous wreck and had been so for some years. My suffering was mental, and I seemed to be in a hopeless condition. I had tried doctors, various foods, and medicines without any benefit; cold water and fresh air cures without avail. Not knowing where to find God, but praying for light, I was led to the place in which I heard of Christian Science. God had answered my prayer. I obtained the textbook and visited a practitioner, who lovingly gave me treatment. The healing was not instantaneous, but gradual, and to me very wonderful. My health improved steadily until complete harmony was restored. The healing has been permanent.

Christian Science has been of much help to me in the care of four children. The harmony at the birth of the children was remarkable. When my youngest child was six days old I was able to journey twelve or fifteen miles on the back seat of a motor cycle. When the baby was four days old I attended to my household as usual. For the privilege of having Christian Science nurses at the births of my two youngest children I am very grateful.

In my own family I have witnessed the healing of whooping cough, measles, intense pain, burns and scalds, jaundice, lameness, croup, fever, and other physical discords, such as colds and tonsillitis. Many of these healings were instantaneous, whilst others yielded more slowly. The only remedy employed was the truth contained in the Bible and the Christian Science textbook. On one occasion one of my children was knocked down by a horse. For a second it pranced over her as she lay on the ground, and then galloped away. I saw this occur and instantly tried to realize the presence and power of God. When I picked up my little girl she was absolutely untouched.

I am deeply grateful for the complete change of thought which follows the study of Christian Science; it is like coming out of darkness into light.
