My interest in Christian Science began when I was about...
My interest in Christian Science began when I was about thirteen years old, and I wish to express my gratitude for the innumerable blessings I have received through its teachings. I would say with the Psalmist, "I will greatly praise the Lord with my mouth; yea, I will praise him among the multitude."
At the time of taking up the study of this wonderful religion, my mother was suffering from a so-called incurable disease for which every medical aid had been sought, both in South Africa and in Europe, but to no avail. Immediately she sought the help of a Christian Science practitioner, and though it was a few years before the complete healing was realized, she soon learned some of the truths of Christian Science and was able to prove them.
I am grateful for the privilege of attending a Christian Science Sunday School, but especially am I thankful that I have grown up in a home in which the Bible, whose contents I have been taught to love, has been made an ever-present help.
