Out of the abundance of a heart overflowing with gratitude I would speak of some of the blessings which Christian Science has brought into my experience.

About twelve years ago, after doctors had failed to help me, I turned to Christian Science for the healing of so-called chronic nervous prostration. I received one treatment from a practitioner, who very patiently corrected my erroneous thinking, showed me that it was resentment, fear, and jealousy alone which had caused me to suffer, and lovingly pointed the way, through Christian Science, to God, the great Physician, who is divine Love. I continually read "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, and in less than a month I was permanently healed, although previous attacks had caused months of weakness and suffering.

Although I was grateful for this healing, and often read the above-mentioned textbook, I was not ready to make the required sacrifice of materiality until further difficulties forced me to do so about two years later. Then I began the systematic study of the Lesson-Sermon, outlined in the Christian Science Quarterly, attended a branch church regularly, and in time was granted membership in this church. After I had taken my stand on the side of Truth, conditions rapidly improved. Instead of being homeless, I had a happier home than I had known for years; a sense of lack was destroyed as I learned that "to all mankind and in every hour, divine Love supplies all good" (ibid., p. 494). By trusting God for courage and supply I was enabled to take a course at a State Teachers' College, and as a result obtained a desirable position in which I have since been employed.
