In the year 1929 I was led to Christian Science for the healing of an ailment which the doctors pronounced nervous exhaustion. I had been under the care of the best physicians in town for several months without receiving any benefit therefrom. The doctors finally told members of my family that nothing more could be done for me and they gave me about one month to live. One day a neighbor called and spoke about the help her daughter had received through Christian Science. It seemed to me that this Science was my only hope. As there were no practitioners in my home town, I was taken to an adjoining town, and treatment was lovingly given me. My healing was slow, but it came as my wrong thinking and fears were corrected. Others ills of long standing also have been overcome by the realization of Truth. In meeting life's problems, I find Christian Science never fails when correctly applied.

I am grateful to God for my healing; to Christ Jesus for showing the way; to Mrs. Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science; and to the practitioner for her loving work. I am also grateful for membership in The Mother Church, for class instruction, and for the privilege I have had of serving as Reader and librarian in our society. I am trying to prove my gratitude by living it in my daily life.
