Ayrshire Post
In the review of a book, "The Divine Programme," appearing in your issue of March 23, the author is reported to have referred to Christian Science as one of the world movements that "undermine the truth or rob men of their freedom of thought." The reverse of this is true. Christian Science is a demonstrable Science and is being proved by an ever-increasing multitude throughout the civilized world today through the healing of sickness and sin by spiritual means alone. It gives man freedom of thought and enables him to overcome evil with good. It gives him an intelligent reason for his faith in God and His Christ. It enables him to prove the words of Christ Jesus, "Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father." If Christendom had faithfully adhered to these words, and kept on proving them for the last two thousand years, what a different place this world would be today! The statements in the Lord's Prayer, "Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven," would have been fulfilled.
