Christian Science has been our only physician for over fourteen years. In that time the services of a medical practitioner have been used only twice in our home. One of these occasions was the birth of our boy, who is now a lad of twelve. He has never had a dose of any kind of medicine. The other time was when the boy had scarlet fever, six years ago, and the physician was called in for a diagnosis. In both cases the presence of the doctor was required by law. Among the physical disorders healed in our family by Christian Science treatment are measles, chicken pox, scarlet fever, ivy poisoning, baldness, nervous indigestion, headaches, colds, biliousness, corns, and swollen veins. An abscessed ear, in regard to which it was believed that it was too late for an operation and that the abscess would be fatal, was healed by firmly continued Christian Science treatment. Some of these healings have come through the work of practitioners, and some have resulted from our own efforts. My gratitude for Christian Science is very sincere.—(Mrs.) Dorothea K.
