Eucharist
To
spiritual communion we aspire,
In solemn silence kneel,
That Spirit may reveal
True selfhood free from all impure desire.
One God we here acknowledge and adore
As infinite, supreme,
Dispelling earthly dream,
Unfolding His blest presence more and more.
One Christ we humbly, reverently love,
The Son of God divine,
Whose holy light doth shine,
Enabling us God's presence here to prove.
One cup, one bread, we lovingly do share,
The bread of Truth we break,
By Love inspired partake
Our cup; the cross of service we all bear.
