The first time Christian Science was presented to me I refused to accept it, thinking it was just another ism. I had not read the textbook, but had read everything I found that opposed Christian Science
About six years later another friend recommended Christian Science to my family. As a climax to six months of sickness and unemployment in our home, which was preparing our thought to be receptive to the truth, we were led to call a practitioner for help for our youngest daughter, who was suffering with the mumps. The healing was instantaneous. At that time, for twelve years, I had been wearing woolen knee warmers for rheumatism. I was also wearing glasses. After seeing the healing of our daughter, I accepted Christian Science as the truth and discarded the knee warmers and the glasses, and have not used either for fourteen years.
Through the understanding of Christian Science and the aid of a practitioner, I have been healed in three days of fractured ribs, and of a broken collar bone which kept me from my work only four days. Toothache, headache, fever, pleurisy, and constipation have all been healed through this Science. Words are inadequate to express my gratitude for the knowledge that God is All-in-all and that He is available everywhere and at all times.
