A dear friend led me to Christian Science about ten years ago. At that time I became a loyal adherent of this wonderful religion, and I have received numerous blessings and helpful experiences. One of these, resulting in a healing, I should like to relate. A severe cold obliged me to remain in bed, and a physician was called because I was beset with fear. He said that it seemed to be influenza of the head, but he was not quite certain.

Only after he had left did it come to my thought that surely God alone is my Physician and help in any trouble; and I asked for Christian Science treatment. A practitioner came to my bedside, and soon thereafter I felt the healing power of Truth; it came to me like "a still small voice." I was able to open my eyes again; they had been closed for almost two weeks, under lids that seemed as heavy as lead. I was able to see again, and it was as though heavy clouds were being dispersed. After a few additional absent treatments I was completely healed. Several years ago I was also healed of heart trouble, sciatica, and coughing, through Christian Science treatment; and in a single absent treatment by a practitioner I was permanently freed from the smoking habit, which I had had for many years.

Words alone are not sufficient to express my great gratitude to our Father-Mother God; to our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy; and to the practitioners, who are ever ready to help. By earnestly studying the Christian Science textbook and the other writings of our noble Leader, I shall endeavor to make continual progress and perfect myself in this wonderful Science.
