For a number of years the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, has been my daily companion. Words cannot express my gratitude for this wonderful teaching. The knowledge gained through this study changed my whole outlook on life.

I wish to express thanks for protection in the recent earthquakes, in which my husband, son, and the staff were unscratched when the building about them was wrecked. For this proof of God's ever-presence I am most grateful. I have been healed of insomnia, headaches, and a depressed state of mind following a long illness. I give thanks that one so pure in thought as our Leader should have lived to elucidate this wonderful truth; also for the lecturers, who travel far and under all conditions. I wish to thank those students and practitioners who have helped me, for the patience and love that they have shown. I am grateful for all the literature, especially the Sentinel. I watch for the mail which brings the messages of love and gratitude expressed through the periodicals.

I am trying to prove my gratitude by deeds and not merely by words, and hope I shall continue to grow in grace and to help others. The greatest lesson I had to learn was that of patience, and this healing came through reading in Psalms, "Be still, and know that I am God." This was a wonderful help to me both in my domestic duties and in other problems.
