The Discoverer of Christian Science has focused the attention of the world upon the divinely restorative and immutable fact that there is a permanent, perfect, and real universe where dwells all true individuality, unseen by the illusive perception of the so-called mind of mortals, called by Paul "the carnal mind." She has given to the world in flawless logic teaching which goes hand in hand with spiritual revelation and intuition. She has taken the foundational premise, acceptable to all Christians, that God, the creator, is perfect, and with it she has won her way through divinely simple and brilliant reasoning to the understanding and demonstration of the infinitude and perfection of all that exists. She has unfolded that which is truly scientific because based upon unchanging law and provable with inevitable certainty.

She has shown that the realization of God's allness and the practice of it are accompanied by what the Master called "signs following"—the healing of sickness, sin, limitation, defeat, and inharmony of all sorts. "Healing physical sickness is the smallest part of Christian Science," she writes. "It is only the bugle-call to thought and action, in the higher range of infinite goodness" (Rudimental Divine Science, p. 2). And again she says (Science and Health, p. 150): "The mission of Christian Science now, as in the time of its earlier demonstration, is not primarily one of physical healing. Now, as then, signs and wonders are wrought in the metaphysical healing of physical disease; but these signs are only to demonstrate its divine origin,—to attest the reality of the higher mission of the Christ-power to take away the sins of the world."
