I will have faith;
Though dangers great beset my path,
And through the valley darkened hath
My courage waned,
Thank God for faith!
For Love hath His own angel sent,
And to my chastened spirit lent
His power and strength.
I do have faith.

I will rejoice;
Though burdens great around me seem
To bind me to the earthborn dream,
Thank God for joy!
For Soul gives bliss, divine, supreme,
Which wipes from eye the darkening beam
That hides His power.
I do rejoice.

And I will love;
Though mortals hate, and strive to harm,
I'll rest secure on outstretched arm
Of Love divine.
Reflecting Him, I'll strive until
I hear the voice say, Peace, be still,
And I do love.
