Seven years ago I turned to Christian Science after all material remedies had failed to bring me health. I had had several operations, but after each one I was in a worse condition than before. I was a physical wreck, as well as a mental one. Then I borrowed "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. At this time I was able to read only for a few minutes at a time. I asked a friend if I might attend a lecture that was being given where we lived, also a Wednesday evening testimony meeting. Here I found what Christian Science would do for me, and learned the truth about God. I had been a member of an orthodox church for years, but was never satisfied with its teachings. I started my little girl in a Christian Science Sunday School, where she soon learned about God in the simple way the children are taught. She is now eleven years old and is able to solve many of her daily problems.

Soon after I started to study Christian Science we moved to a different town, where I attended church services. I did not seem to progress the way I thought I should, though I did not doubt the teachings, but kept right on the best I knew how. After seeing a friend healed, I asked for help from a practitioner. Within a short time everything seemed different to me, and healings began to take place. The cloud that had seemed to hover over me lifted, and I was an entirely different person. So now, after being healed of lung trouble and of heart trouble in the worst form, I am a happy woman, ready to do whatever is my duty to help others. I should also like to say that I have discarded glasses, after wearing them for twenty-nine years. Words could never express my gratitude to the practitioner for the help I have received for my little girl and myself. To know that God is always with His children wherever they are and at all times is such a comfort. I am deeply grateful to our Leader for this wonderful truth that she has revealed to all mankind; for the Board of Lectureship of The Mother Church; for our periodicals; and for the Lesson-Sermons in the Christian Science Quarterly; also for membership in The Mother Church and a branch church. I have received wonderful help from serving as an usher.
