Western Daily Press and Bristol Mirror

A bishop in his address at the Bristol Cathedral is reported to have said, "Christian Science was something which from the medical point of view they would consider absolutely erroneous. What was more important for their purpose was to realize that from the religious point of view also it represented error. It represented quite definitely a religious as well as a medical heresy."

Many medical men will agree with Dr. Copeland Smith, who described Christian Science as "the opening of a window to the winds of heaven. It is the mightiest protest yet made by the human spirit against the blatant materialism of the present age."

Christian Science is not a "heresy," but is a reinstatement of primitive Christianity, which includes the lost element of healing. It is based entirely on the teachings of Christ Jesus, who, without the aid of drugs, healed all manner of sickness, relying solely upon God, "who healeth all thy diseases."
