Overcoming through Right Thinking
Our Leader writes in "No and Yes" (p. 23), "As mortals, we need to discern the claims of evil, and to fight these claims, not as realities, but as illusions; but Deity can have no such warfare against Himself."
Through the teaching of Christian Science we know that evil is not and never was real, since God is supreme, the All-in-all of good. Do we realize that this true knowing lays upon us the great responsibility of proving that good alone is real and that evil, when opposed with good, disappears?
Mankind, in general, believes in the presence and power of both good and evil. It gathers from "the tree of knowledge of good and evil" "a negative right and a positive wrong, the latter calling itself right" (Science and Health, p. 491). The good mentioned, however, is very far from being the true idea of divine good. Mankind knows little or nothing of the realm of absolute good, of divine Science, wherein Mind, divine Principle, governs its own idea, man, who is perfect as God is perfect.
